Because – a memory game that teaches cause and effect phrases

“Because” is a game meant to enrich children’s language in a fun way while allowing them to experiment with understanding the relationship between cause and effect and expressing them in a sentence.

In this memory game, the child practices the construction of complex sentences that describe cause and effect. The result may be logical or nonsensical, which in itself contributes to the richness of the child’s expressiveness in daily life.

For example: “The cake burnt because mom forgot to turn off the oven.”

When playing with children younger than 3 years old, the game can be used as “questions and answers”, instead of a memory game.

For example: “Why has the cake burnt?

“Because mom forgot to turn off the oven.”

For children aged 2 years and up.
